Jeff's musical journey began at the age of five when he started playing
the music his older sister was supposed to be learning in her piano lessons.
His family quickly realized that Jeff had been blessed with an extraordinary
musical talent. By age 7, he had been accepted as a piano student
at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. This training
set the stage for Jeff to develop his talents to the extent that he was
able to perform professionally in a wide variety of settings by the age
of eight.
Jeff spent many years (from ages 8-16) traveling with Steve Lake and the Swingmasters. During this time he had the opportunity to play with the likes of Dolly Parton, Crystal Gale, Guy and Raina from the Lawrence Welk Show, and many big names from the Grand Ole Opry, as well as the popular television show "Hee Haw." He even made an appearance on the Phil Donahue show.
